Maya texturing.

In Matts lesson we exported our UV maps into Photoshop and gave it a black background in a different layer, this was to contrast with the white lines to paint in. We then either pained the ship ourselves or used websites like to download images and then tile our ships, this is the process that I personally chose as my Photoshop skills aren’t too good.


This is the result of my texturing on the Photoshop file when once put onto the ship in Maya it would fold which I had to keep in mind to make sure that I don’t have a lot of odd texturing meaning there is a texture that doesn’t line up with one on another shell.

Below is what the shop looks like with the texture and as you can see it needs work as the wings textures don’t line up with the base of the ship which would need to be fixed in the future.
