AE Pinning Tool, 2D Animation

Today in Pete’s lesson we were shown the pin tool, we started with a background and a character then started pinning the character in crucial places like shoulder, wrist, legs etc.

We then started to use the starch tool to add some tension to the mesh, this is so the mesh doesn’t move like rubber and just bends and folds. One thing that we found out about the starch tool was that you don’t want to overlay them as it’ll end up in tears and bends within the mesh.

This is the animation that I did to test out the tools.
